Balance Me Skincare.

I used to be really lazy with skincare, I slept in make up (GASP!), used face wipes (GASP) and used insanely abrasive face scrubs as I thought they would make my skin really clean and therefore I wouldn't get spots (GASP, also this does not work it only makes things worse). But treating your skin like this is a young woman's game (along with dyeing your own hair and getting a Megabus in the height of summer) so post 25 I decided to step it up a notch and have started investing more time and sometimes a bit more money into what I slap on my chops.

I discovered ''Balance Me'' skincare which has quickly become my favourite skincare brand in a very middle class way ; via Ocado.  Now it's not only become my new favourite skincare brand its also had the unfortunate side effect that some little extra treaty thing ends up  in my basket with the weekly shop (  they really do sell some really good skin care stuff and they always have good deals on it . Also good for dry skin is the Waitrose baby bottom butter- dead cheap and smells like milky way bars) .

First up the Super Moisturising Hand Cream. This is LUSH, it's really thick and intense so probably best before bedtime and its really good for dry hands. It's packed full of good stuff like shea butter and almond oil but what I love most is the smell; has that sort of ''posh hippy'' smell that makes me feel like I'm the kind of woman that goes on retreats and actually enjoys fennel infused teas rather than the shandy swilling goofball I really am. I think this would also make a lovely gift.

The Restore And Replenish Cream Cleanser; a creamy comforting gentle cleanser that makes your skin feel softer and plumper as well as getting all the make up and grime off ( use it with a hot flannel or whizzy clarisonic type thing. I personally like a gold old ikea flannel)

I've saved the best till last! So I'd heard the the Radiance Face Oil was good but its quite pricey £30+ which made me  worried about committing so I bought the 10ml roller ball size to try it out (this is really handy to roll on spots to help prevent scarring, it's also good for travel but I dropped mine and it smashed, sadface) . I soon found out that this actually properly works and I've since committed to the big bottle . As someone with combination skin I'm quite wary of oils as i think they will make me break out but this is excellent, my skin looked clearer and more glowy (and indeed radiant) and it keeps tempting me away from my previous face oil by Kiehls

It is pricey but if you have combination skin like me or suffer from breakouts I'd really recommend trying the smaller size bottle to give it a whirl,. Also it lasts ages, I bought the big bottle almost 2 months ago and it's still 80% full ( I use it most nights now)

NB: I've posted links to the products to Ocado as all of these products (except the smaller size face oil) are 20% till the 10th of November.
